The burb failed the local I.M. test Friday. It was running VERY rich at 2500 rpm. I knew about the hard miss, but didi not want to work outside in the cold. It was very under powered and could not even get out of its own way. Anyway, I got into it yesterday and here's what I found:
- coil wire arcing on the bottom of the air cleaner.
- #7 plug wire boot very brittle at the cap and the cap post so coroded that it crumbled when I took the wire off.
- all electrodes inside the cap badly coroded.
- rotor coroded.
- crack in the porcelin (sp?) on #7.
- two other plug wires arcing on various things.
