I vaguely remember the show from when I was a kid. Never caught it since but I almost don't want to. Some of the stuff I LOVED as a kid was total lame cheese and watching it now ruined it for me.

The truck was featured in one of the Magazines back in the day. They made a couple dozen "jump" trucks for the few seasons it was on. Even the jump trucks could not handle the abuse of being jumped.


I like the video thats posted. Isn't that how we all drive on the way to work?

You can see in the video some of the landings destroyed the front axle.

IIRC later they moved the engine behind the cab to even out the weight distribution and trussed the axles and whatnot.

I never knew that, but you're clearly right! At 3:09 and later you can see the mid engine in nearly every jump.
