Fallouts Suburbalanche Conversion Build thread.

I thought my topless Suburban was different. I cannot say that I like it, but it is definitely interesting. Good Luck. I did the same thing to my Barn doors before I welded the Blazer section to the Suburban. :)

If you want to go tailgate, you are going to have to drill out the 50 spot welds that hold the tailpan on. If you notice, there is a curved section at the bottom that the doors fir into.

Interesting conversion; I echo the sentiments of bobbing the bed. Have you done any additional work on the truck?

great work!!!

update bump :waytogo:

I know I am digging up an old post but I love this idea, how is it sitting now?
Do you have any close ups of how you finished off the roof ribs down to the back edge of the cab?

Not very pretty at the moment, I can get close ups but the actual body work has been kinda at a standstill. I got preoccupied with a dana 60 and 14 bolt swap and built a new motor for it. The motor has taken up the majority of my time and funds just now have it running right. Fixing to swap my NV4500 in due to the 700r4 being on its last leg.

My ADHD got the best of me. Finished the hard part then petered out on it. I have to take down the bondo on the sides to the metal as some rust is starting to form. I thought that primer and enamel paint would be good to keep it from absorbing moisture but I guess I was wrong. The roof is in the same condition.

When it gets light out tomorrow I will try and get some pics and post them.

BTW whoever did the maroon one did an immaculate job. Wish they were a member here and posted a build thread.
