Fan not working

Hello CK5 community. I have 1989 4x4 Blazer with 350hp. My fan does not work. I recently installed new blower and connection, fan lever in dash and cleaned all wire ground connections under hood. What do I need to replace next? Also the connection in back of switches in dash looked good also. Should I replace entire heat/air and temp assembly in dash?

Thanks for advice

Check the small ground wire that attaches to the blower motor. Could have paint under it and not getting a good connection. Just an idea.

If your truck has A/C it may have a high speed blower relay, but if that fails it should still work on low or medium speed--unless the blower motor resistor is fried--that is usually located in the blower housing somewhere,in the path of the fan so cool air blows on it to keep it from overheating ..on the square bodies I think its either next to the blower motor under the hood,or in the heater box next to the glove compartment..the relay would be mounted near the blower motor under the hood..

I'd check to see if your getting any power to the blower motor wire before doing anything--key on,switch for the blower on ,use a test lamp to see if its getting power in the various speed settings..might be a blown fuse--sometimes a fuse that isn't marked for the heater will affect it if it blows too,so check all of them..

Thank you for this. Will try

Did you measure for power while the dash was apart?

Is there a relay on the side of the evap (A/C) box underhood? That may have failed or the connector came unplugged from it. You've checked the fuse, right?
