Fan won't blow heat

Today it's 4 outside and one heck of a day for the fan to give out. I can feel the heat at the vents, but the fan will not blow. No matter what speed I set it to or where I want it to come out.

A few years ago the fan would only blow on high. I had to replace a little silver box under the hood on top of the passenger side wheel well. Replacing that box got all of the speeds to work again, but as of now nothing works.

What should I look into? Could it be that box again?

BTW last week I was driving with the fan on 3 speed (4 being the highest) and at times it would randomly work and quit. My A/C compressor is shot I think and makes a ton of noise when I drive the truck especially when it's shifting. Could this be related?

Thanks in advance!

i had the same problem a while back. it was the connection to the fan that was messed up. i cut off the old rubber housing and bad connector and replaced it with a new connector. sounds simple but check it out could be your problem.

issac? Ha that's my middle name.

It was that little metal box by the a/c compressor.

Thanks for the info though.
