They have this gizmo:

I've found that the shackles on the CUCV bumpers happen to work very nicely as lift points for the Hi-Lift.

cant see your pics but instead of paying for that base just get a peice of 3/4 inch plywood with a hole to attach it to the jack. Make it 1 or 1/2 ft square and celebrate.

Can't believe I misspelled "FARM"... Jeeez........ I really want more than a base pad, I want a TRIPOD!!! The base won't prevent the vehicle from tipping, it'll just distribute the weight better...

A hi-lift jack WAS NOT made to jack a vehicle up to work on, they were made to jack a stuck vehicle up and then push it over to become unstuck. That is why the jack is made how it is with the base so wobbly to the post of the jack. :deal:

Exactly! If you look at the base High Lift offers you will see the jack sits on the base and not bolted. So you can still push it over.

The base was only made so the jack can still be used in sand or soft dirt.

Huh!!! Never thought of that... But it was still the only way to get the van up, and I'd still like a tripod version... But thanks for the info! BTW, how're thing 4x4high? I was talking to a guy with a K5 with a busted starter bolt in Cotati(?)

I have that sand base and it makes a big difference in stability but as people have been saying I wouldn't trust it for much more than emergency situations.

We used it last weekend to help some guys out and it didn't sink a bit.

Found this the other day makes operations a little bit safer I think.

That tube adapter for rock sliders is pretty sweet.

I was doing the jack up - push over and broke the bolt holding the base on and bent the bar on the jack. I had to take the jack mech. off and flip the bar over to use the jack, explain that one.

You can fix Rarm if you want. Just go into edit then advanced edit and fix the title.
