We can pull another late night beer/install event. I always like wrenching. Do you have the correct size socket for the u-bolts?

I doubt it I think it is 13/16, 15/16 or 7/8:D . I can borrow one from Don if you dont have one. Also it needs to be a deep socket:o . I edited the other post about time to their shop prolly while you were replying.

Ill be back gotta go get dinner and do some grocery shopping.

I am up for a wrenchin session if need be:D .

Ira

I have the correct socket I can bring down, Do you htink that the powertank with the impact would drive the neighbors crazy that late at night......HAHA

We should probably stick with the hand tools. I think we will probably head to your house, then over to El Centro. It sounds faster

Ya probly stick to hand tools I have a long torque wrench that should bust them loose they have only been on about 1 month:D . I hope they come in before Friday. If not I think we will hold off putting them in until after the run. See any problems with that?

Ira

The freeways are straighter and simpler. The mountains are better loooking and prolly shorter but more work. I'll look into it further tomorrow. I'm easy to find. No big city to get lost in here. :D

I might have a couple tools....

Bring your spare u-joint then

I am hoping it gets here in time I dont wanna blow a ujoint on the way out there ya know.

Hey David guess you need to get the day off cause it looks like we are headed that way. Do you wanna meet up at your shop?

Ira

im good for what ever. ill ask liz to see what she wants to do. got the 3 wheeler runnin now so she might join us. i like the mountains for goin to salton sea area, but to davids hose i take 8 :)~ ill prolly camp the night so have to go slow anyways with trailer, can follow me out

Put your CB in as I have mine working now and Brian has one also. I figure we can meet up on the way out and caravan out there. Brian only drives the truck about 60 so it should not be a problem and I will set the cruise and just cruise:D . Hey can I borrow your floor jack to install my zero rates?

Ira

I think if it comes down to it I would rather work Friday nite and install the zero rate rather than put 400 miles on a joint that could go out:o . It should not take too long to do ya know. Also I should be home about 1400 on Friday if you wanna do it before you go to school?

They are shipping this morning via usps from Mississippi so I think I should get them wed or thurs so Friday might not be an issue.

Ira

K we will plan on Friday unless they come in sooner I got no problem stay up late. I do not know if we can jack the truck up in the garage or not it should be fine to get the couple of inches we will need.:o

You will need a ways more than a "few" inches.

I am gonna pull the rear tires to get about 9" over having the tires on:D . Also I gotta tie the antenna off so I can get in the garage:D .

Its not rocket science ya know.

Ira

So when yall headin' down? Fri or Sat? Not much wheeling time if you come down Sat. I should be free all weekend and Andy should be free by noon Sat too. Let's GO!

Ya I plan on leaving around 700 or 730 depends on when Brian gets here and how late we end up working the night before:doah: :D . I think we are gonna meet at your shop and head out from there. I gotta drop some stuff off with Andy before we head out anyhow.
