I'll be there...I'll PM you my cell.

i wont be able for new years my mom bought me a starter for x mas so i have to wait to put it in hahhaa yea what are the specs on the 60 and how much you asking?

I have an '80 DRW Chevy 60 open 4.10

'75 DRW Dodge open - haven't checked the ratio. The Dodge has the small pre-'81 neckdown shafts and it's full time 4wd. It's also about 2" shorter than a Chevy axle on the short side. Long side is the same. Spring perch spacing is a little different from Chevy too. It would work in a Chevy, but not the most desirable axle. My buddy has dibs on it for his Dodge if he wants it.

MDR Race next Sunday

There is a MDR Race (200 Miles) next Sunday at Plaster City. I'll be racing a 1-1600 (#1657) instead of the usual Chevy Class 8 Truck. Come out and check it out. I can always use some chase help also.

No...was supposed to get front axle back yesterday (getting Detroit from the old rear 60 put in), hopefully today. Running out of time.

ROLL CALL!

Who's coming for NEW YEARS?

There's a Superstition run coming up in Jan and TDS in March too.

I'll try to get out there for at least 1 day. Was out there fyilng today. The winds were howling.

Didn't get out to Super til this AM. Had some fun. Anyone make it?

Lost power steering tonight...was gonna wheel tomorrow, but not with no power. It's bad enough with no ram assist yet.

Auto manufacturers are retarded. There's only spotwelds holding the front of the bed and the back of the cab. Tires went thru like nuttin there. He didn't have any seats in the back, which my have contributed, but still, what about a single cab truck with a engine or other heavy object back there? Why don't they put some beef in there? Always bragging about how safe their trucks are, but you can't put anything heavy in the bed and expect to live thru hitting anything. Anyone who hauls anything substantial should look hard at beefing this area of the bed.

I wonder if having a toolbox in the front of the bed like mine would have helped???

I know now that I will never haul anything heavy unless it is tied down.

I'm sure the toolbox would help a lot. There's not much to tie to in a pickup, and in order to make and engine stay put, you'd need real industrial ratchet straps, and there's no place to hook them in a pickup. They'd need to be tied to the frame thru the bed .

I already plan to add the type of HD "D" rings that fold flush in my bed along the frame rails. Mainly to hold down my spare and so I could lock it (anti-theft) but this sheds a whole new light on the subject.
