Sheeee-it!!! That is crazy! We already lost on CK5er in a similar situation He fell asleep too, but drifted into oncoming and hit a big delivery truck head on. I hope Andy has a speedy recovery, and I also hope everyone reading this has the good sense to pull over and sleep if they're driving tired. Getting somewhere a few hours later is much preferrable than almost killing yourself in a wreck.

My thoughts and prayers are with Andy; hoping for a heathy/fast recovery.

Wow, who did we lose Rene?

That is a crappy way to start the year. I hope he makes a full recovery.

Andy's an asset, not mention super friendly, on here. I bet he is even more so in real life.

The guys user name here was "bandit". His name was AJ and he was just 19 years old at the time. This was early November 2001...

Sorry to hear about Andy. I wish him a speedy recovery.

And like trustyk5 said. If you're tired pull over and sleep. Driving tired is just as dangerous as driving drunk.

Wierd thing was, he said he wasn't sleepy..we wonder if maybe he had some kind of blackout or something. I know I'll be more careful though in the future. Also gotta watch out hauling heavy stuff...his tires were strapped down, but in that situation, it didn't matter. He said his next truck, he's gonna put a bulkhead and headache rack in it.

I know it's macabre, but I want to see all these pics of this D-max.... Wow.

Andy is in my thoughts and prayers. I have driven very sleepy in the past, and believe I have actually fallen asleep at the wheel once before - but, I snapped out of it doing 80mph in the grass median. I learned my lesson - I hope everyone can learn from Andy's situation, and stay safe out there!!!

prayers for your brother on the way.....
