FarSoCal and AZ

Don't care too much about that, as long as they are usable and open shut without a porta-power I'm good.

Now I just have to figure a few things out.....and save the money.:doah:
- How to transport it
- Where to work on it
- How to lift and move all the heavy parts
- Swap the cabs, or transplant the drivetrain

I'll take some time and try to come up with a workable plan.:D

Uh...I have a truck (with a winch boom) couple trailers, engine hoist, cranes, forklifts, machine and welding shop...:D

Why not just come down for a weekend or two and get everything ready and planned and then do the main heavy lifting work in one weekend and then you can take it home and finish up the details.

That would work, except for me being away from the family.
You gotta remember that I spent 2.5 years in Pascagoula and missed out on lots of family stuff. I don't think it would be to easy trying to convince the wife that I'll be out of town for a few weekends. It would be easier if I used vacation time and did it during the week.

I do have access to a few trailers, forklifts and bobcats too. I could just drag it out here as long as the boss would let me park a project in the shop.

You didn't bring 'em out with you???

Shop isn't really available during the week, it's busy working.

Well, work it how you want. You could always bring the fam down with ya too.

They were out there for a while, but moved back here before I did. I think it was 13 or 14 months before I left there. Add on top of that the busy hours in a ship yard.

I could do all the work here in my garage if I bring the Nissan forklift up here. The forks will go to the ceiling before the second stage of the mast starts to raise.

Everything is god out here. You get back in Feb right?
I might be ready for a little crew cab project by then. I am still trying to get all my tools together and sorted.
I lost about $400 in sockets while I was in Pascagoula. I guess someone broke into the truck and stole them. It sucks but I'll recover as funds allow.

You still have some time, we got extended 2 months. We just hit halfway the day after Thanksgiving. There is no telling what I am gonna have to do to the K5, I don't think Trish is cranking and letting it run like I asked her to do:doah:. Maybe it's an excuse for a 6.0 swap :D

Dik

I might do that. I would have see when Trish would be home. We actually got it in the garage and out of sight. On top of that we moved about a year ago and I would need to send you directions.

Let me find out if she has been doing anything and I will get back with you. I appreciate the offer.

Thanks

Dik
