What is your favourite generation, year, or facelift of the Chevy blazer. Mine are the blazers from 1981-1988.

No contest. The last of the original, '72 Blazer.

Ditto--my first K5 was a '72,and I owned a ;71 CST later on..the egg crate grille and single headlamps are the best looking noses GM ever had...I owned a '71 GMC and thought the grille on it was ugly in comparison..
Second best K5 as far as looks was my '75 2wd ,it was the last year for a full vert, but had the single round headlights and a squared off grille..

My top 2 favorite GM's though, remain the '55-'57 Chevy pickup noses and the '60-'66 GM pickups and Carryall panel trucks, especially the '61 with the "eyebrow" hood ..

Far as I'm concerned after 1988,all GM's became "blah" looking clones of every other make & model...the "rounded style" cab and Suburbans..just don't enthuse me at all..

It's a toss up between the 82-88 stacked quad headlights and the 89-91 trying to be like the gmt400 front ends. Although i feel ALL are good. And i like GMC grills better.

i think Mike Leathers styled the trucks including the front ends. And chevy styled the gmc grills and trims.

Listen to this fascinating interview:

I liked the '74 GMC grill best on square bodies..kept one I had on a '77 GMC,also kept a '73 K10 grille ..74 GMC grille.jpg
