New in the box jeep steering shaft. Seller is friend of my neighbor (68 mustang, 468 and bb ford mud truck). He even delivered since he was coming over there anyways . $60

Old shaft was mf to get off. Beat on it for an hour and then broke out the cutoff wheel. I melted the adhesive out of the new shaft, spread the ears a bit, greased it, had it installed in about 10 minutes. Blue loctite per Utube. Fixing to test drive it in a minute. I've put this mod on the back burner for years.

I just got back from town. My truck was pretty tight before, but this made a much bigger difference than one would imagine. Great mod, really sorry I procrastinated for all those years.

98% bolt in mod . there is write up threads on here .

and you should pull it and separate the slip and drill 2 holes and weld on a pair of nuts and add 2 bolts with nuts so you can tighten up the slip joint but the jamb bolts will still let it slide if in a accident .
