Okay,

I'm feelin' retro again. I dunno. Just been a little down lately I guess. Anyway, I was thinkin' about either a Lund Sunvisor or a MoonVisor for my 83 K10. I think they are kinda neat, add some pizazz, and are not difficult to install. What do y'all think?

i personaly like them both the sun and moon visor. i have a sunvisor on my burb and it made a ton of differnce in the looks. lighted or unlighted is up to you though.

Those things either click and look sharp, or they flop. Course, next time some really low branches come scrape across your windsheild....:eek1:

I voted for the sunvisor because I have one I can sell you. I prefer the moonvisor with the lights. I have one on my blazer. it came with it but I like how it looks.

for wheeling they suck. One of my friends ran one and he cracked his windshield and busted up the visor with one well placed tree branch.

that being said you should buy the one I have.:D

I have heard how gay they look and everything else, but you don't see me holding my hand up over my eyes when driving toward the sun like some have too without one. I personally have the Lund MoonVisor and it doesn't shake, rattle, or move at all, even at highway speeds.

As far as hitting branches, I have hit my fair share and so far so good, if you hit one hard enough to break the visor then it would have broken the windshield anyway. Anyway That's why I voted for the MoonVisor

had a sunvisor and liked it... traded it away when I ditched the body.

I don't really care either way how they look... I just get really really bad headaches when bright lights (like the sun!) are in my peripheral vision and it seemed like a good way to help. It did.

I like em... Help out with the sun and I think they add to the K5's bodylines..

If dated looks are a cowl hood and visor, I'm there..

If dated looks are triple chrome rollbars and teal paint, I'll pass...

You know, I was thinkin' about a cowled hood. Any idea besides LMCTruck where to get a good one from????

Oh boy, is this going to be fun! :haha:

I like mine...

My 82 K20 came with a Lund visor on it when I got it..first truck I owned with one,and I kind of like it..helps keep the sun out of your eyes,and it also helps keep snow off the windshield when it snows out (well,at least the top half of it anyway!)...I think mine was installed to hide roof rot, and minor damage--lots of bondo on its roof--I think a tree branch or something fell on this truck before I got it...:doah: :crazy:

I don't have one on my K5. Have a sunvisor on my K10 stepside and I'm happy with it. My wife wants a Moonvisor, cowl hood, and Bushwacker fender flares on her K5. I love my Ol' Lady. I can happily mod her truck too!

Had a cowl hood on mine before I wrecked it. I loved the look but the PO had bought the cheap (not supported well) version from ????????. At highway speeds it would flop all over the place and looked like it was doing the wave. I will probably get another one but I will deffinately spend the extra cash for a good one.

Here's the hood after I modified it.

I suppose those kids would keep the hood from flopping around at highway speeds. How are they attached? Glue? Screws?

At highway speeds I suppose they lay back but for around town do they block your vision?

:bow::bow:

:haha::haha:

The two on top are held on by hood pins, the one on front is attached to the chevy emblem

I love my visor its pretty sweet, you should definately get one.

I like the visors, I think they look good on trucks like ours. Also mudding with a guy one day who had one I noticed his windsheild was somewhat cleaner than mine. Don't know if it was the visor that helped or what.

i say dont go with the visor. this truck is far to nice for some trashy crap on its roof
a cowl hood will look good though i love mine. its a harwood all fiberglass 2 1/2 or 3'' i believe
