fender conversion

hey guys
i have a 79 k5
i have the steel trim along the side of the truck and im gonna remove it, but i love the newer (i think 81+ ?) fenders. would these fenders line up with the older grill? thanks

Nope, I considered doing the same thing when I first got my 79. Will have to do a complete swap. I bought an 84 to do a clip swap but changed my mind at the last minute due to my bumper and all. A search will help you find all the answers on a clip swap. Not much to it, I pretty much have the majority of my front clip off now to pull my motor.

no i just want to change the fenders, not the front clip... i like my round light set up.
