Fender Cutting

They come with instructions.

If you look around someone scanned them and posted them a while back. Been a few years though.

what else is involved with a 1 inch move forward? Can you do it with stock steering and just need to adjust steering link in for the shorter distance?
Your drive shaft may or may not be able to take the extra distance.
Brake lines don't care unless they're too tight anyways.
Yes you can do it with the stock steering.
Drag link needs to have each end shortened by half the distance moved forward.

Ok that is what i was thinking. I have 3 in lift springs up front so im not too sure if my stock (assuming) shaft will take the extra inch down and forward. Guess i wont know till i try haha.

I was thinking about this today when i was out wheelin and was looking at my wheels while they were turned and noticed all the room in the front and how close even my 33's were to the rear of the fender. Ive even scrubbed em a few times so it seems a good thing to do

Going to have to just sift through the search results then.

That would be nice to see the instructions before purchasing:rolleyes:

Can't say for sure but I know most people get away with the stock shaft and 4" of lift. Might work. I know a guy with 6" of lift, and 1.5" of forward relocation and he's running the stock shaft.

Why GM didn't center the front tires in the wheel wells we'll never know. However it is a relatively simple fix.

I'm running the stock shaft on mine. 4in springs, longer shackles and 1.5in forward. I've wheeled and flexed pretty good and the shaft doesn't pull out. I figger its temporary until I put in a doubler anyway.

Sweet! Will it actually stuff the tires all the way up into the fender wells? Looks like you have about 2 feet of clearance between the top of the tire and the fender well. Bet you could put on 44s with a little more trimming.

SteveGMC...your fenders look great. Looks like you maintained the finished outer lip/edge. How did you do that? I like the idea of eliminating fender/tire interference while maintaining a finished look. Any advice for a body work novice?

It will fit 44's easily. Those are 39.5's. It will actually stuff the tire pretty good even with those super stiff mall crawler springs.

this was my 1st attempt @ trimming...jus trimed a lil up front and did a lil too much out back that i will eventually fix...front still rubbed badd w/36's so i trimmed sum more...
