Fender fit on an 84 K5

I'm workin on my first K5 and I know it's missing a few pieces. One thing I keep noticing is up front where the fenders fit next to the grill/ radiator support is that it seems that the fit is off. Can anyone tell me if I'm wrong/ right about this?

I would say the grill is tilted to the drivers side. The grill only sits on one center mount. Or they are really crappy aftermarket fenders.

That is the correct fit, which you'd see if you installed the chrome trim below the hood and on the fenders themselves.

I have a pic of my K5 showing the same fit through my busted grill trim.
