FENDER LAWS

I would imagine you have to have fenders...what specifically are you worried about? Trimming fenders or flares or?

Rene

I have never heard of any laws about fenders except some places get picky about tire coverage and want you to run flares, or at the very least mud flaps

Bushwacker makes cut-out flares...

rene is right most places the only law is the tires cant stick out past the flares more than x= amount of inches so you will need fender flares /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

So does this mean you DO need fenders? I'm in Arizona, and have been wondering about this. My trail rig will probably not have any fenders or hood at all, unless I HAVE to have them to be street legal. I have seen the front fenders on Prowles, and there aint much there..

here it is NO tires beyond front fenders
I had to run flairs to cover the swamper sidewall bulge to pass
in the rear on a truck you can get away with huge rear mudflaps and no fenders, not sure if Blazers could get away with that

im not sure about arizona but in most states you DO need to have fenders on the vehicle to be STREET legal

I'd guess they'd need to cover the tops of the tires...you'd have to ask I guess. It would make sense to control road spray in the rain, or to keep from throwing rocks into your own windshield.

I dont know how it is in SD, but I'm about to find out in Texas. I'm going to have no tire coverage on the front end.
