Fender Trimming and 39.5" Iroks on H1's (NEW DAYLIGHT PICS.....YAY)

My birthday is tomorrow and my wonderfull wife said I should get new tires before our drive to Mississippi:bow::bow:

Currently I run 36" HMMWV tires on H1 beadlocks. I have been casually looking at tires in the 38-40" range but now that I have permission for new treads I am clueless.
I need to get tires that will last a while but that doesn't really rule out the biased tread since I like to rotate and check air pressure anyway:rolleyes:

The truck has about 6" of life now so I know I will have to hack the fenders to get the bigger tires to fit and I don't mind doing it at all. I will probably remove the inner fenders at the same time for a little more clearance. In the next year or so I will be going with 52's in front and pushing the axle forward but can't get to it right now.

With all of that in mind....how big of a tire should I be looking for?
38" TSL's
39.5" Iroks
42" Iroks........don't think they will fit without the axle forward??
39.5" TSL's

Any other sugestions also welcome.
 
We had 39.5 TSL's on ourse in Hawaii with some trimming...

Just finished installing new shocks on the truck. First time in 2 years that I have had shocks that worked....

Now I need to finish cutting down the run-flats on 3 more HMMWV rims.
I pick up the Iroks Tuesday morning and plan to have them mounted ASAP.
 
Mag. Don't want them in there to pinch the sidewall of the tire against a rock or tree. Plus it makes it easier to get them in and out of the tire.
 
Done trimming the fenders. Took a while to get the first one done but went pretty fast after that.
I took the diagram that Yunit made and modified it a little for mine. Kinda like Andys truck......I really like the looks of that.

Pics up in a few. Need to eat my B-Day dinner first.

I like the SPARKY picture! :bow: :bow: :bow: :bow: I just started cutting on my fenders some the other day, so I could fit my 35x12.50x15 Mud Rovers on my suburban w/NO LIFT:pimp:

I just finished cutting the other 3 sets of run flats off of the beadlocks. And I pick up the Iroks in the morning.:D

I can't wait
 
are you going t be able to run the inner fenders with that much trimming? how much lift are you running? im planning on trimming that much and want to keep my inner's. looks good!
 
The inners are in the trash. No way to run them with the amount I cut off.
I even took a few inches off of the core support.

I have about 5.6" of lift
