Few 700 to 205 questions

I have done a ton of searching and still have a few other questions before committing to buying the parts. In order to do this swap i know you have a

27 Spline 205
350 Adaptor
Spacer from tek spacer
Trim 1/8th inch off my output shaft on tranny.

That last part is where i have the question. I was looking at an extra tranny last night and i realize that if i trim 1/8th off it doesnt even effect the length of the splines it would just be part of the like beveled end area. Is this all that needs to be cut off? anyone have pictures of what they cut off? Thanks

i saw you said i need a 2wd shaft? why? i thought you just trim some off the one that is in there right now then go from there?

thats for a th350 to swap in to place of a 700r4 with a 208 or 241 tcase.

cant tell you for sure on yours. but most guys use them.

Everything you expect is correct but you might not need to trim anything off the shaft. The spacer you need is a teckpak fitzall 7Q-35A

I just did this, and got mine all bolted up with the 2" spacer mentioned above. I had to end up cutting off 3/8" of the tailshaft to get mine to seat correctly. Bolt the spacer on, and measure with calipers or a straight edge flat across the spacer with a tape measure to verify the length you need to cut off.
