Few newbie questions..

Thanks everyone for the ideas/help. Hell ya i'd like a 350 or a 383 but im workin part time and cant afford a whole new engine, someday though, i've wanted a blazer since i was lil so this ones def stickin around. I heard that body lifts sometimes end up sinking to one side.. well it happened to my friends bronco. Now i feel really stupid askin these questions but what are the benifits w/ a suspension lift/body lift.. other than tire clearance and articulation maybe? Here are 2 links for pictures of it.

I run a combination of 4" suspension lift and a 1" ORD body lift. The only way a body lift can sag is if the actual body mounts are rotted and weak.

Keep in mind that the larger the body lift the more leverage it puts on the body mounts. If you regularly get the truck all twisty a bigger body lift might not be best.

Nice K5 BTW. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

[/ QUOTE ] I really think it's worth spending a few more bucks to get a quality ride. I recomend looking at Tuff Country and BDS. Maybe Springs in the front and a shackle flip in the rear.

whatever you do do NOT buy rough country, I have there 4" and I have ended up replacing the whole lift, like 5.5 inch blocks in the rear to stop the sagging look and i am about to buy tuff country leaf springs up front because the rough country's ride like a tractor. If I had to do it all over again I would go to ORD and get a rear shackle flip and then buy either BDS or tuff country front leaf springs. /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gif /forums/images/graemlins/usaflag.gif

I HAVE AN 85 WITH 35" TIRES AND 4" LIFTS AND IT WORKS FINE. ALTHOUGH THE STEERING DOES SEEM TO WONDER A LITTLE WHEN YOU HIT A DIP IN THE ROAD. MAKE SURE TO INSTALL A DROPPED IDLER ARM.
