its a 86 k5 with a 5.0 sm465 and the rest it stock. 66k on the clock runs and drives good. i asked her to tell me what she wants before she buys, that didnt work. so far she has, headers, cam, carb and a intake. got 4.56 gears from those guys at 4wheeler parts. i ahve heard the stuff isjunk. not sure. she got a lock right all for the stock 10b. what is was thinking was to go look for a 70s 3/4 ton chevy p/u and at least get her a 14b for the back. not sure it worth putting money into 10b. is will be going either 4" or 6" lift and 36" hummer tires. i know they ar not the best but for 35 each cant beat it. she said when its said and done she would like 38s will 4.56 gears be good for that witha 4spd? as always any help would be great thanks guys

only three, only have sex with one for now. the one that want this truck is by far the coolest chick i have ever been with, been thinking about getting ride of the other two. i know guys that have dated way more then three i think its to much trouble

4.56 and 38's will be ok with the 4 speed . If the lockright came from 4 wheel parts , its not a lockright , they push the house brand , Genuine Gear .

14 bolt would be a good thing in this truck . You eastern people like mud and speed , 10 bolt doesn't have a chance :thumb:

if eatern people like mud and speed i can only assume western people like rocks and crawling. so where's this put me??
i already know....

i'm up for anything. :D

is 4 wheel parts really sell junk? heard so bad stuff before.. What was your Avatar before? the lead singer of in this moment. thanks pauly

Be thankful you're interested in girls. If the three were guys, you'd be broker than shiit. They'd all want upgrades to modify their rigs. :doah:

Wes, only you would come up with interesting points like that!!

Sounds to me you are on the right track so far.

Be sure to let this chick know even though you are in a relationship right now you have nothing against "Friends with Benefits" :haha::haha::D

Or "benefits for friends" in this case. :doah: :D

4 wheel parts don't sell the best gears by any means, but I have installed 4 or 5 sets and they were all easy to setup, made no noise, and are all still going today. And they do have a lifetime warranty. Not the best but work well on a budget.

I am running a 465/208 with 456's and 38.5's and it is pretty good but I wish I had 488's at times. I do fine in the mud and with granny low I can go about anywhere. The only problem is when trying to maintain a good cruising speeds on hills. It just doesn't pull the hills like it should in those situations.

so you think 4.88s would be the way to go? is that more for offroad gear right?

It really depends on what kind of driving will be done with the vehicle. If it will be used mostly off road then I would go with the 488 or 513. If used mostly on road at lower speeds then 456 or 488. I used mostly on road and there are allot of hills that will be traveled at highway speeds then I would go 488.

The granny low is what makes the 456's usable with that size tire but it is a really wide ratio between low and first gear which sometimes makes low too low and first too high. That's another reason I want 488's or 513's.

will go to the trail wheel it and drive it home. wille see how it goes thnaks
