came across this. one is a 85 4runner. other is a 85 ext cab. think it said sr5. something close to that. both 4 poppers. both fi. one motor shot. one motor good with a turbo. he said its from the factory. both from the south so there is not rust. the 4runner drives.

so what do you guys think of these things? thanks:bow:

well my brother never had a 4runner but he did have 3 different Toy's. he had problems but nothing more than any other vehicle really. pretty easy to work on though. tryin to remember the main problems he had with his. i remember timing was an issue on one of them. i'll post more what i can remember

when you do the timing chains they can be a PIA, but they have new kits that have metal guides insted of plastic that are sweet. Both of those are SFA, so if you make one out of 2, you can go on yotatech.com and sell off the parts. and they wheel pretty sweet too.

OK I was into yotas for a while...

A turbo 85 is not original. It may be swapped but they never made a turbo 4 banger solid axle truck in America. The turbo 4cyl was a 86-88 options I want to say. It was put in place to combat nissans v6 model while toyota designed theirs.

I'll put it to you this way. The axles under those trucks are worth $300 a set so theres your $600. worst case senario you sell the axles and scrap the trucks and make money.

thanks. you know i got them. in the corner of the yard next to two old 1 ton ford. have not touched the 4 of them. sucks. to much going on. goes that way
