Yup. That's a good call, and I did both. I actually work on guitars so use foil shielding on cables and electronics recesses regularly...so applied that (and some knit shielding) to the cable. I did apply those chokes to the main power, Keyed Hot, RPM, and Fuel Pump wires...just for insurance. I also hacked up the harness to get rid of those cheap in-line fuses, as I had engineered a separate fuse/relay box assembly (from a 2002 Monte Carlo) and integrated that into a weather-tight box in the engine compartment for my K5. Runs my fuses/relays for the electric fans, light bar, and now the fuses for constant and keyed hot to the EFI system (fuel pump relay is attached to the painless wiring fuse block, and has a dedicated fuel pump fuse already...as well). So, in the process of tossing the inline fuses, I added those ferrite chokes to the cables. Just made sense, and good insurance for a few bucks! :-)
I also have the black wire setup for AC RPM bump, but I need to figure out how to construct the AC system so I can get that up/running. I know I need a POA valve in there somewhere, just not exactly sure where/how it goes together. When I got the truck, it was all stripped out...so I'm building from scratch. But, the system will offset that AC RPM pull...all good stuff! I've been pleasantly happy with the EFI thus far, as I'm notoriously picky and hard to please.
