My cousins best friend and a childhood friend of mine has asked me if I could graph a pickup topper top onto a K5 top. Maybe pics would help. I think it can be done but am not sure the best way to go about it and mainly to make it strong at the seam. Ideas, comments, sugestions?

I had thought of something like that for my Blazer. I just think it would be nice to have the side windows and the front windows to give the kids some extra viewing angles. My only concern is the extra clearance that would be required, plus the fact that you would be breaking the structural integrity of the original top.

Yea he uses his K5 for camping and to tow his quads and jet ski's. I have mentioned it b4, that I had a pickup shell carpet kit in my 83 k5 and he used the idea. His power tailgate window quit working but, he never opens the tailgate anymore anyway. I have been texting him tonight about ideas and such and he thinks it would be even better to extend over the steel cab. So now I have e-mailed him some links to the blazer campers. We'll see where this goes.

over the years since I bought my k5 in 1995 i've mulled this idea over and over.
Can you chop down the camper style you want? This would be instead of grafting a top section onto your k5 top. then you could just graft the bulkhead section and modify the rear hatch to fit his tailgate.
