Hey guys I have a CO2 bottle with Pepsi stamped in it. Any problems getting these filled at a local gas shop? Closest distributor is 70 miles away so I was hoping to be able to do it locally. It has a good inspection date and just needs to be refilled.

My Pepsi distributor stopped filling them, but they suggested a local shop to do it. I called the suggested shop and explained the situation and they exchanged the bottle with no problem.

Wow, they did a straight out exchange? Figured they would have just topped it off for you. How much did they charge you for it?

I always thought those were permanent property of the beverage distributor , until they were too old to get recertified :dunno:

thanks for the help. I guess I will call around and see if there are any issues with refilling it. Really dont want to drive two hours to get it filled.

I work at a gas distributor and I fill CO2 bottles, 20 lb, 50lb, bulk, fire extinguishers, you name it. If a customer comes in with a Pepsi bottle that needs filling, we usually don't give it a second look. It doesn't matter what it says on the bottle as long as it's within it's 5 year test date.

thank you for your input! Gives me hope for the local guys.
