I'm new to this site.
I read a few posts about Blazers used in movies, in particular, on the Adam Project, and how they were all destroyed. Rest assured they weren't. If I could figure out how to post a picture on here I would.
We built 3 of the them. I hero, 2 stunt. I now own one of the stunt vehicles.
Originally the chase was all on asphalt roads but was changed to the forest after we had committed to the builds. I changed one of the cars to give us more suspension travel.
Once again, if someone could guide me through the photo thing I'll post a few, I think some of you may find it interesting.

Welcome!

As a free member, you’ll need more than 5 posts on the site to be able to link pics from a 3rd party pic storage site.

Paid memberships ($25 year) include free pic storage and direct linking and/or the ability to add pics as attachments to posts immediately regardless of post count.

thats cool, weve had a couple film tribute builds on here, the Jaws blazer and Dantes peak suburban

Would have been nice to put up a few pics for you guys. If you Google Andy Smith Batmobile or 007 you can see some of my work.
The Blazer was converted to 2WD and we built our own rear suspension. 525Ls with a built Turbo 400 and 410 gears. An absolute blast to drive.

Nobody said they didn’t want you to. You just have to participate in the forum a little (5 posts) and then link the pics from a 3rd party storage site, I wouldn’t think that’s a big deal if you really wanted to be here.

That said, if you were trying to work your way in to pimp products / services / vehicles you need a vendor membership.

Never been accused of pimping anything to anyone before, I was just looking at the posts and saw a couple regarding film stuff that I built and tried to help out a bit.
That's a bit of what I do if you're interested.
Not trying to work my way in anywhere.
Regards
Andy

Cool stuff. How do you get a job like that? Looking forward to seeing more pictures and hearing more details.

I see some discussion here of it being a GMC with a Chevy grill: https://www.imcdb.org/v001625453.html

How I ended up in films is a long story, maybe another time! My car, as far as I know , is an 82 with the 78 front and dash. That's the look the Art Dept. wanted. It started life as an ex military 4wd diesel, not ideal for drifting. The car minus the door in your pictures is my car.
I am not, by any means, any kind of authority on these cars. It just seemed to be too much fun to not buy it at the end of filming. It's actually the wife's summer car!
