Final DIXIE RUN Post!

Just got the word from Kenny that he is a go, so all of my seats are full. Kenny had a bunch of bills the pay period, so he has been hired as my "photographer" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif, but, i may give her a camera anyways Glen because I am bringing several. You know, gotta be sure I get plenty of footage for the big boss man! We are leaving at 3 fri morn and will link up with robbie there. About what time will the rest of you guys be there friday night???


Glen- I re-read this and although it doesnt say, my extra seat is reserved for your son. Didnt want to leave any doubt in your mind!!! It will be me, Kenny and him.

Thanks Rob its greatly appreciated. I am still doing final stuff, gotta finish packing the K5 tomorrow, just finished water proofing the tent, damn, forgot the floor seams, oh well, gonna pack it up tomorrow and I will do them when I unpack it at camp. I went grocery shopping and got all the food and drinks. Gonna make my packing list tonight. Going up to Keiths in the a.m. for a few hours to help where I can. I will probably be there with the family about mid afternoon on Friday. Will be looking for yall. Don't forget, its the earliest trail 9 run on Saturday, thats usually 8 a.m. like last year.

I was at Keiths till 1am last night. Got that stuborn carrier out and the locker install in the D60. All that was left to do on it was install the spindles hubs and cover. Keith was going to get that done last night before he went to bed. All the parts were cleaned greased and ready to bolt on.
So he's down to bolting up the axles and getting the brakes bleed. He still has to get the 42's on the rims. hahaha He will be working on those rims longer than it takes to get the axles under it.
I plan to leave about 2:30 or so this afternoon (Thur). Just need to pack and het the store for food today.
Rock crawl is at Crawford camp Friday morning. Plan to go watch it then run a couple trails with the club Friday.
 
So the rockcrawl is at crawfords??? I thought they would have it on lower 2 or something. Those rocks at crawfords didnt look like much when we were there in may. hmmmmmm, maybe they brought a big load in!!

Well the last couple years the FS was getting hacked at the amount of spectators. Supose to be special permits. Last year they were trying to keep the location secret but still got slammed. So this year they plan to do it at camp where the spectators can come since they haven't been able to stop them in the first place.
I'm sure the course has been redone and will be a major challange. Should be quite humors once Mr. Budwiser rides shot gun LOL
 
good luck keith and the whole gang wished I could have finished my rig for this run. But it just wasn't in the cards. Heck and I get to leave again here sometime this month looks like yet another 6 to 8 month delay on progress for my truck. anyone want it, I can't stand to see it sit. Yep, I'm with mudrunner78. I wish you boys happy trails and good luck. Too bad the ol' newbie here couldn't join ya, but I'll get my chance next year. Hehe, I doubt the 10 bolt up front with 40's could've handled it anyway. TAKE LOTSA PICS!!!
 
Finally got everything done (I think). Leaving here in a few hours. Lots of pics will be taken and posted upon retrun.
