I realize this is more cosmetic than function but still always a sore spot with me. While I couldve just saw-zall'd it across and be done with it, I wanted the factory look, plain and simple. I think it turned out pretty well. This isnt a show truck by any means but still wanted a nice look to it.

Im very happy with the results and unless someone really knows what to look for, they probably wouldnt know anything was done.

Enjoy !!!

*on a side note, the inner fender well got cut and attached just like factory, not just the outer skin

I like that! :waytogo:

Subtle yet effective....I may have to copy you on that when I trim my fangs after I install my lift in a couple of weeks.

As you can see, the fender did not need to be removed. The shop used Butt welds, he said he couldve over lapped metal but that wouldve required filler, I said no to filler. he did a great job.

about 1.5hours each side start to finish, guy took his time and we bull****ted, etc.

Our next trick is to lengthen the front fender to accomidate 35s and to make the back wheel well the same size as the front (back wheel well about 1-2" lower) makes the truck look like its squating all the time. lol.

Once all body mods are done, than ill probably get the whole truck painted.

Thats why I posted pics and made this post. LoL, it was fairly easy and straight forward and looks better than just a saw-zall line. Which works but I wanted a cleaner look. And it keep all the factory contours. Shop had just a little bit of metal work (hammer and shaping, but mainly on the insides)

I like it. Very crafty.

It not being flat bugs me tho.
I get why it's not.... Factory look, and all.
I'm just a fan of the flat-cut, is all... :D

But, that body work is really good.
Way better than I can do.

Bonus pics !!!

1st gen Blazer. Its a complete frame off, not sure what direction they going with it though.

I wish the direction was northwest towards Montana because I want one so bad for a family explorer..

Its one my local 4x4 shop fabbed up for me. Its kind of a pre-runner style but has a winch mount so I can slide the winch in and out so its not sitting on my truck all the time.
