Haven't had much time, and still don't, but just wanted to thank all that helped with the suggestions on what to do, down to the 14bff ebrake hookup. It all worked out great, some little bugs to work out but at least now she's a contender!

naaa....actually i did the install friday after t-day and went to he hospital on sunday. right ring finger got squashed between the huge "persuader" bar, that was being wedged between the shackle and the spring (i hate those damn bushings, torch out of gas!!!) by all my buddies strength and the one arm i had on it, and the frame. OOOUUUUUCCCHHH!!!. The only reason i really went to the hospital (i hate doctors) is because it was the size of my thumb, wife was bugging me and i couldn't sleep. Doc said i shattered the bone in the tip of the finger. i asked if he had some sort of bullet type casing to go over the ugly looking finger because i needed to ge back under my K5 and finish some small details. He looked at me sorta sideways. Probably because he doesn't have K5 fever

I just got done with mine, no lift yet though.
I made it through mine with out a scratch untill the very end when I was done welding the shock mounts.
The damn stand mashed the crap out of my already trying to regrow thumb.

Looks like I'll loose the nail again.
Oh well I didn't like how it was growing back anyway.

I gotta ask about the Weld wheels. Where or how long have you had them? Those are the older design wheels. They look a little different than the newer design Super Single II wheels today. I have two sets of the SS II's and they do look a little different than yours.

I had a chance to buy 3 used Welds for $150, but I could not get this old design wheel anymore. I called Weld Racing to see if they could make one or find another one. Nope. So I passed on that deal.

like it, it's the same year and color as mine and thats what i want my rig to look like after i'm done with it(i'll proly never be done with it) i've just got the lift done for now the i'm hitting it up with some body work, tires and redoing the entire interior

I posted one in my webshots gallery of my taped up hand after I cut it with the dremel tool....when I was installing my stereo.

It not really to be "gross".....just to show that there really is a "human element" to these projects. Sometimes you look at a set of photos of an axle swap (or whatever) and you have NO appreciation of the suffering or difficulties encountered.....! It's like "Here's my old truck...then BAM! Here's my truck all lifted!" ...like it happened instantaneously and without any struggles.

Plus....how does that expression go?: "Glory last forever, and chicks dig scars"

I juat got those Welds about a month ago used from some guy around town. Check it out....all 4 16.5x9.75 welds with the 35x14.5 M/T baha's with about 400 miles on them....all for $300! Sweet deal. Not overly fond of the baha's but damn..they were more than free. Haven't got a chance to polish 'em yet but they don't have one scratch in them. Gotta get more pics up...

$300!! probably a little warm but hey, i had nothing to do with it, never met the dude before, just got a smokin' deal. Live in NJ calclips. I went through about 10 K5's to find a stocker with hardly any rust like this one. uncommon with the salt they lay during the winter around here. Thanks.
