just finished my first engine swap on my 88 k5 .one problem the motor idles a little high. any ideas what could be causing that ? tbi with a stock 350
 
Spray some carb cleaner around the intake gasket to see if the RPMs increase. If so then your gasket isn't sealing correctly.
 
I had a throttle body that the shaft and bushings were so worn out the throttle didn't close all the way. You would have to grab it and give it a wiggle and twist and it would close properly and idle would drop to normal. Check for that.

IAC could be malfunctioning also.
