One is a used warn 9000i, guy might take 350 for it, have to have someone down in austin ship it to me though (so add like 70 bucks, I said I didn't know it wasn't an xi (even though I did) trying to bargain him lower when he said he was in austin) came off his ex-roomates jeep who left it in his garage on move out.

Another is a warn 12000 (model unknown, looks newer) wanted 850, he will go down to 650, but says solenoid might be going or connections, taps with a screwdriver get it to kick in. also comes with a mount for an 83 chevy pickup and two lights (which i need) but I don't think the mount works on my 77. Says solenoid might be weak from lack of use? said he rarely used it anyway. how much does a solenoid cost anyway?

the last one is a ramsey 12000 for 550. it works well but looks older. This one comes mounted on a reciever hitch, so I could use it now on the blazer and on my truck if ever need be.

Which sounds like the best deal?

Hey if you want a super cheap and yet strong winch bumper to go with it, a couple of buddys of mine build them for a living.

I was on the phone with Warn about a week ago trying to find a replacement remote. I have the older style solenoid so I'm going to upgrade that too. He said a complete rebuild kit ran around $250. Just the remote by itself runs about $60 so I'd guess the solenoid would be about $100-150. You can call their customer service number & ask to be sure, very friendly people there.

The 12K winches are nice, the 9K would probably work fine, but you would still have to find a mount. I'd go with the Warn 12K.

go warn, i'm sick of ramsey. too slow, sounds like gravel when using them.
