Finally have a/c again

Lubbock has a special kinda forked up weather. I was up there for three weeks on a job and I can honestly say I saw every kind of weather known to man and that has ever existed in the history of earth. All within a few hours a couple times.

Hey Kain what did you do Mine was converted to 134 years back prior to getting it. I guess it sat around no use. I had guy work on the system revac and install new 134 but it still blows lukewarm air. I’m I going to have to take apart and clean then install new Parts. I would like to go back to R12.

Got to figure out if it will hold Freon, vacuum down the system make sure it holds -30 on vacuum before charging.
If system was open to the air change the accumulator or your wasting time.
Also make sure the cables and vent doors operate like there saposed to.

Ok should I try and clean system ? I will put order in for Parts. It has the original compressor.

You can flush the evaporator but I'd replace everything it. They are not difficult to change. That will ensure a clean system. Given the age of the compressor I'd replace it. The lack of use will likely give you a leaking compressor.
