1/2 ton status
Just got back from St. Louis today .. went Blazer hunting ... lookey what I cought....

Its a bone stock 87 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic, pw, pl, tilt, cruise, etc, etc ... Has 150K miles. Needs some rust repair (especially in the rear floor where the hinges for the tailgate are), paint, a windshield, and exhaust ..... runs great and got about 17.5 MPG on the way home from St. Louis running an average speed of 80 MPH with the air on! Oil pressure stayed right at 45 psi and the temp about 180 (according to the stock guages) all the way home!!! My only concern was the occasional black smoke coming from the exhaust when I got on it pretty good (and the occasional pinging associated with it). Otherwise a very uneventful (thankfully) drive home.
My dad came by to check it out tonite, he really likes it. Says that it'll be even better than my old black one when it gets painted and then he offered to pay for getting it painted (I think its cause my b-day is saturday but who knows)!!
WOOHOO!!!
Now.. lift, tires, new gears (or axles) .... let the FUN begin!!!!
ps- Mudzer .. I planned on calling you back but you know how that family stuff can get .. especially when little kids are involved (the wife hadnt seen the neice and nephew for a few months) ... sorry .. time just kinda got away from us
