finally mounted my bumper I made. pics

well I finally mounted the bumper I started a long time ago. its not finished yet but atleast its mounted good enough for now and out of my garage.

I still need to get the other 4 mount points finished and the hidden winch tray and fairlead face plate finished. it all will tie into the frame horns and the the first crossmember at the sway bar mounts since I dont run a sway bar, also you can see it ties to the body mount too with three bolts. I used the factory holes and only will be drilling 3 extra holes per side. I need to drill 1 of the 3 per side still. it will have alot of bolts holding this thing on.

there is alot more to do but Im just happy I dont have to move it on the cart it was on every time I needed to get to the other side of the garage. will post more pics as it progress's.

the 2nd pic looks funny for some reason but it is square and even and not longer on the left side.

couple more. the mounts are all 1/4 in colled rolled plate steel. it wraps around the entire C of the frame.

looks good! you put in the burban?did you ever get the tranny fixed? are you going to put that 1ton bumper on the K5? or build a nother one?

thanks Shawn, yes I got it rebuilt, 1500 bucks. towed it in and drove it out. did not have to take it out myself thank god. I might sell the heavy duty bumper when I finish it. we will see, Im not sure yet.

I think I might build another one like this one for the blazer, but out of DOM tube. I kinda like its side protection and hi clearence. stingers look cool to me, IF there not too big. Im happy with the way it turned out so far.
