Seems time has gotten away from me lately, but I finally got my new tires and beadlocks mounted up. The previous MTZ's were 35's on H2's but looked small with the lift I had. The new tires are 36 Bias ply Iroks on steelies with Kurt's custom DIY4X design. It was obvious I would need to move the front axle forward an inch and a half to get them to fit. The blue tape is where I thought I might have to trim. It looks like I can get away with trimming the "fang" and moving the rear axle back an inch. What do you guys think?

Why trim? Cut the fang off, move the front forward and the rear axle back 1" and you'll be fine. My 37s clear with very minor rubbing at full stuff and the wheel turned. Your Blaze looks way too nice to get carried away with the sawzall.

I moved the axle forward 1.5 already....I'm only planning to cut the fang and move the rear back like you said. I'm not too concerned with cutting the front fenders as those are easy to come by. The rear quarters however, that's another story.

I did my rear quarters similar to where your tape lines are, here's a pic for reference.

After this pic was taken the axle was moved back & centered.

That's very tempting....however, I've already got the body work and primer all finished at this point. I have two of those patch panels as I had a truck project at one time. I ended up finding a complete blazer rear quarter for 200 bucks and I couldn't pass that up!

This project is now pushing five years.....I just want to drive the thing!!!!!!

I asked him to put them on for me......I felt it was the least I could do for him after all the good service he's given me in the last year. Good way to give both CK5'ers and Kert some good advertising.....that is if I ever get out and drive the thing!:doah:
