finally ***pix** of my rig with 42s

Ilikeitloud,

How do you like those lights? I was thinking of getting some Lightforce 240's. Are they worth it? Would you get them again? Any cons?

Thanks - Ned

What are you using to put the lights behind the grill? just a lil custom fab or?

a lil custom fab. a little 1.5"x1.5 piece of hollow square tubing welding on the core support. they lights fit very tight in there. they a pretty much pressed flat against the grille.

IlikeitLoud,

While browsing for Lightforce 240 info I found this, might be useful to you:http://www.offroader.com.au/tech/lightforce-240-breather-retrofit-upgrade.cfm

Do you think some real strong magnets (like 100lb pull or so) would be ok to mount the lights with? I'd probably like that so that I could remove them easily when not in use (so they don't walk off with someone on those days when I park downtown). The advertised weight is 32 oz, so I think a well thought out magnet setup with a good mounting perch would be do-able with a simple plug in harness.

Looks sweet, what year is your truck? And which soft top is that? I like the way it looks.

rare earth magnets

these things are so fun, the strongest you will find

I would like to get a soft top like that, do you have a cage in the rear or does it come with supports? how hard was it to put on? Did you have to make any "mods" to make it work?

chief77 :k5: :usaflag:

its a kayline softtop. it comes with supports and is a breeze to install. just a few holes to drill thats all. i think it a good quality top. been through a ton of rainy/windy storms and never let in water. and has gone through some heavy brush without ripping

If you were to reinstall the hard top could you see the holes you had to drill? What's on the tailgate, snaps or velcro?
