sharp looking truggy bro....makes me wanna chop up the Scottsdale and plug in the tig welder

Looks good. Looks like it is time to cut the rockers for sliders or boatside it. I like the color choice and the tube doors look sweet also.

thanks! boatsiding will come soon! :waytogo: i want to make some rock ready tube doors available for whoever wants em so i gotta get the specs before i start hacking :hack: i planned on having the doors ready a week ago but the truck is first priority!

Oh, and when you boatside/rockers make sure you extend them past your cab as far back as you can toward the back tire. Maybe run the rockers back 12-18" and then taper them into the frame and connect them to the frame on bushings. You would be surprised how easy it is to get a rock jammed in after your cab area and the tire. If it gets stuck in there your SOL. You gotta extend the rockers back toward the tire so the truck will stay ontop of rocks and slide down the sliders till it get the tire so the tire can climb it.

Your truck would be a great candidate for an exo cage. The door jams and such are pretty straight so it would help keep the jams from taking hits. An exocage that would protect the door jams is great for helping to keep the cab from tweeking and breaking the windshield.

Oh and a few more lugnuts would probably be a good idea too. :D Sweet project. Keep the pics coming.

thats a badass truggy project. what are you useing for you rear crossmember at the end of the frame? I welded a 4 1/2, 3/8 wall square tube for mine in. that looks about the same.

I don't think those lugnuts will be that much of a concern until the truck has a drivetrain!

the crossmember is 4"x4"x1/4" i had to weld on a 1/4" plate on the ends to make it fit. my front is the same but that is 3/8". the beadlocks are badlands off road weld ons. the paint is rustoleum camo forest green. a $50 paint job, what a country :D yeah it's short about 16 lugnuts, less weight to have to push back in the garage till i get the engine in!
