Here are the pics of my truck w/ it's newly installed lift kit.. I'm so freakin excited about it.. And I did all the work myself.. Still have some bugs to work out.. w/ vibrations and retorque everything down.. but tell me what you think?
It definately needs 35's... but I got a good deal on the 33's..

Wow, that rig looks nice. You will appreciate the Breakover angle you now have, plus better approach/depart angles. I like the look of 4" lift and 33" tires.

Hell yeah Rocko!

Looks great man, just remember like you said to retorque everything after some driving. I bet you cant wait to go back out in it now. Good to have you back too man.

Thanks guys... Neil, Reb and Harry...
Appreciate the kind words... My front hubs aren't working.. and I'm just going to replace them w/ Manuals..
Also.. when I back off the gas driving it.. it vibrates a little..
Is that a sign i need to lower the Tcase?
Any opinions, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hey Rocko,

When I put my 6 on i used those little sleeves on the t-case crossmember and reversed them to be in between the frame and crossmember. I think it drops it about 1 inch or so. I would try that and see if it works.

I like it, I like it! Just remember to retorque your bolts, mine was a little loose after driving it awhile, glad
i checked them, mine had a few vibes also, i did what rebel88 did. It worked!

Life is grand in K-5 land!

I used a Rough Country 4 inch kit w/ front and rear springs. And the steering arm was included as were the shocks and urethane bushings.
Total over two days to install took me roughly 7.5 hours. And alot of busted knuckles and mucho go-jo.
I highly recommend the Rear springs.. made the truck sit nice and level.

Hey Rocko, dig those wheels and tires

. Your rear springs definately level it better than blocks would have. Now you get to beef the drivetrain up!...

Thanks Steve. those are some nice wheels.. wonder where I bought them from... Really appreciate it ..
So.. we're selling our other project Blazer Steve...wanna trade for one of your Camaro's hehehe.
Can't wait to see your Blazer out there w/ us next time at the Slab... there's a run to the Slab on March 24th..
Jason "Phyte" is organizing a local clean-up run for the Slab.. the Sheriff's dept gave him the go ahead and said it would ease the minds of the landowners up there.... so if you'd like to join us.. we could do some "mild" wheeling and help the community by cleaning up the land we use to wheel..
And thanks everyone else for your kind words... Don't know what's next.. but it's going to be a never ending project.

That looks like MINE! I currently have a 4" with 33's also. My truck is the same color and everything. I even have the luggage rack, well, did anyway. Now, look at your truck with a 9" lift and 38's.......now you see it my way. hahaha Awesome truck!

Sorry Rocko, just can't part with any of my ladies...

I'll see what I can do on the 24th. We should be setting forms for our foundation around the 16th and I'll have to see where we're at by that following weekend. I'm headed out to Big Bend in the K5 tomorrow for 5 luxurious days of camping/wheeling - jealous!

-By the way, can you order up some clear sky's for the 24th? I think it's rained on every trip you've put together :)

Well.. I finally lowered the Tcase and all the vibrations stopped. I still think my hubs are blown.. they seem to go into 4wd whenever they feel like it.. feels like a violent bang when she goes in.
Anyway.. Cheri bought me the Superwinch deluxe hubs.. manual.. so I can't wait to get those in.. First I want to replace the wheel bearings... then the hubs..
Just wanted to update ya'll.. also Cheri and I swapped out the interior of our beloved 83 Blazer.. we put in the Suburban seats and the rear seat.. converting her over to a gray velour interior. And the seats look awesome..
I'll post pics later..
