I've owned it for 13 years. It's only been off for paint and it went right back on because it sat outside at the time. Now it's off for the summer!!

It's a goodmark restoration hood, bought it through my local dealer for the same price minus shipping what it would have been from online. It's all steel and built really well, not like the flimsy aftermarket replacement's. To tell you the truth I wish I had my factory hood back. I liked the cowl hood when I put it on, but my tastes have changed.

That is simply a beautiful K5. Take care of it, better yet send it out here to CA and I will make sure it gets driven year round. ;)

Alright, thanks very much. And I agree with Corey 78K5, that is a beautiful truck. I wish mine was that nice

You have the same rear roll bar as mine. Although I would assume, considering your trucks history, that it's original.

Thanks guys for all the compliments. Means a lot from a group of k-5 admirers.

Yeah the roll bar was factory optioned on this blazer. The only option that this blazer did not have from factory was the 400 sb. It even has factory cruise and it still works!

The only thing was the first time I drove it with the top off, some of the stainless "tape" on the bedside panels came loose. I got it though and I have to figure out how to re-glue it back on.

Does your hood have clearance issues with your wipers when opening and closing? Did you have to bend your wiper arms or something?

That is nice. Might as well toss the hardtop, you'll never want to put it back on. :D

When it opens it gets close to the very point of the cowl and the driver side wiper. I never bent them and they clear otherwise. I have been trying to find some of the stainless trico wiper blades that originally came out on these trucks. They sat lower on the windshield, vs. the bosch that I have sit up higher from the windshield.
