Any good places to look for TBI swap info. Like if I wanted to do a carb to TBI swap on the 83 Jimmy? Best donor vehicle and what to strip off it?

I've been reading "mrdrinksalil" Black Betty's swap, posts by eagle mark and Dave W. Good stuff guys.

I know of Moates.net for supplies and Datamaster, TunerPro..
Just looking for insight..thanks

I think an aftermarket TBI kit is a good option. If you have the time get used parts and service the used parts, you can save some money. It's also nice to be able to get tech support from an aftermarket TBI kit supplier.

1987 to 1991 chevy has everything you need for a simple 1227747 TBI system. 1992 to 1995 has everything you need for a 16197427 system. :waytogo:

Pennys on the dollar compared to aftermarket, but more work.

There's tons of info at the link in my sig, but I never finished the complete from start to end thread, maybe you could be the one to help finish it?

Is there any advantage either of the 1227747 vs 16197427?
I have the time. I don't want to spend $1200++ on a TBI swap. I'm a cheap ass ;-)

I have an acquaintance that owns a salvage yard. Will talk to him tomorrow or Monday to see what kind of package deal he can make me
