Man, what a pain in the ass! I hope I never have to deal with that. I'm almost positive that my frame isn't a '72 although the body is. I don't have the rear turndowns on my frame, although I guess it's possible someone just cut them off. I've never bothered to verify that the vin numbers match, mostly because I'd rather not know for sure.Luckily I have a title, and it's now registered as an antique so no more inspections for me... as long as I stay in Utah anyway.

lucky that you don't have to go through it. I think each state plays lil different..i asked if I get k5 from out of state does it need to go through the inspection? and they say yes. but the good thing is, I can get it done by AAA. if it's from the same state with no paper trail or plates then CHP has to do it.
. I found a frame for 500 today in Riverside CA I'm going this weekends to check it out get the number take it to CHP officer and hopefully likes it
