I wasn't happy with the driver door shutting, always never fully closed and the lines didn't exactly line up. So I'm like, easy fix, loosen the bolts, move it in just a hair, didn't fully see it wasn't where it shoulda been, close it and fail. Chipped it all up but now it shuts perfect and looks great, cept for the lovely chips in my hard labored paint job. Lovin it already

Cant tell if win or fail. I read good things and bad. Much confuso:dunno:

Well its a 50/50 split. The door closing and opening right is hella cool, the paint chips not hella cool. But gotta take the good with the bad. I did learn one thing though, all the seals where worn and mushed from age and all that. So I priced them and said hells no, instead I snaked vacuum tubing inside the old seals and it puffed them out like brand new. Now all the doors close nice and tight, and don't rattle, plus with the all new window seals in it doesn't have any wind noise anymore, which I tested with a leaf blower cuz it doesn't have plates or insurance anymore. Probably not the most accurate or correct test method, but its close enough for me. Now its finally painted, all the gaps and body lines are close enough, and it runs, drives, moves, starts.... Its a miracle :woot: Now I just need to flop it over, or destroy something expensive, and I will feel much more normal, feels like my life is out of balance with it actually acting right for once. :haha:

that's why I keep my bar set very low on the looks-o-meter, why paint what I'm going to damage anyway :)

thats whay paint is LAST STEP in the work. body lines / gaps and open/closing all before .

and few layers of painters tape over edges is your BEST friend for protection .

Yea I know, just one of them " so simple nothin can go wrong" moments. O well, I'm on body # 2 already, Il tear it up and put a new one on it eventually.
