Finishin Up my \'88 350 Rebuild, got a few ?\'s

Just rebuilt my centerbolt 350, and I have a few questions. I have one nipple on the intake manifold that I can't remember where it goes. It's between the EGR valve and the HEI coil. This is an '88 TBI. Also, does anyone offer shorty headers for this year K5 with AIR? Wanted Edelbrock, but can't find any shorties. Thanks, guys!-Indy

If you change the exhaust make sure you instal an O2 sensor.

If you have to change the exhaust, is there any reason to go with shorties?

Not saying shortiesare bad, but I just saw it mentioned in an article somewhere that the shorties made less power. Of course, the comment was made in passing, so no hard numbers, just that they weren't as "efficient".

The extra vacuum port should go to the brake booster, I think.

it should definitely go to the brake booster but many vehicles had it tee off to feed other things too, if the fitting only has one plug you know it goes to the brakes if there are more..... ya better start looking for where it goes.... If you need help, my 86 has an 89 TBI engine in it, I can take a peak and see if it goes anywhere else.
