So I got my clearcoat on. Looks better than you would expect from a jackass rookie with a $15 gun and a 6 gallon compressor but still far from perfect. I have a bunch of tiny mosquito bite looking imperfections in it. Shocking considering the sterile environment I maintained in my garage and driveway when I was laying down the clear but here we are.

Is there a way to get rid of these? Can I buff them out? What do I use to do that?

Do they look like bubbles that popped and dried? You can wet sand clear coat with 800/1500/3000 grit sandpaper and then buff it with finishing compound if you feel like impersonating Daniel-San.

Could be I guess but they feel more like tiny sharp points. Like maybe a piece of dust landed in the clear when it was drying?

Oh, I thought you meant actual mosquitoes at first, because I think I still have an actual mosquito in my clear.

How about some pics of how it turned out. The easiest solution is to cover it with woods pinstriping. Otherwise wetsanding or "wheeling it down" are the only options, but once you start with the sandpaper you might have to do the whole truck to make it all match.

You got nibs in the clear. It's just a bit of dust or dirt that fell into the clear.

Like others have said, wetsand and buff to eliminate.
