Just read this thread [ http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=274320 ] and it jarred my memory to ask a question.

Have any of you guys ever used ColdFire?: https://www.mycoldfire.com

The website is awfully infomercial-y. It's tough to find impartial info on the stuff (same mfg has a zillion different websites). There's also youtube demo videos, but all produced by the same company.

It does look like some municipal cop shops are putting it in cruisers. I also think that SCORE, BITD, and IndyCar might use the stuff.

The stuff is just water and a surfactant, which makes sense (that's what AFFF is, after all). I've got ABC dry chem extinguishers in my vehicles, but that crap is nastiness squared if I ever have to use it. They also offer it in concentrate so you can just mix it with water and come up with your own spraying vessel.

I'm thinking about getting some and just trying it out on a bonfire sometime. I could even play with some various fuels...

dunno, but I would want some kind of real spray canister, looks like ur spraying hairspray on it. Rather not be 2' next to a "blaze". If it's competitively priced to my ABC ones, I'd pick up a larger canister with hose.
