My local fire dept. is having a new truck built, 2018 F450 I think. It was originally a dually. It has been lifted obviously, the rear dually converted to single wheel and the negative offset front wheels changed to what you see here. A little too much imo but I'm wondering what concerns may be about wheel bearings, brakes, load on the load on the rear tires with 2,500 lbs. of water and maybe another 1,000 of pumps and hardware plus the utility bed. What about center of gravity? The company that is doing it has apparently done them before and knows what they are doing. What do you think?

Thanks guys. I found the load rating on those MPT tires and it looks like at least 5,000 lbs.

Moving the front tires out farther increases the scrub radius and wears the tires out faster. And IIRC it also decreases the turning radius.

It is being built by Skeeter Brush Trucks out of Texas. I know nothing about this sort of heavy duty vehicle..

Oh yeah, scrub radius, I know about that, was a big problem on my old hot rod when I put offset rims on the front, followed every crack in the road. Hmm... thanks for mentioning that.
