do all small block chevys [up to 90s] and 383 have this same firing order-18436572

We have to assume you are referring to a 383 Small Block Chevy??
If so, it is simply a stroked out 350 and the order is 18436572 just like the others.

(I think Pauly has you covered if you're referring to the Mopar version)

Oh, and the only other thing is assuming that a 7/4 swap was not performed on this engine. :D

Whats funny is the Chrysler version was a big block with front distributor , I was referring to small blocks by both maufacturers , different small blocks , same firing order

I guess we now know how much I know about Chrysler engines..... :o

:doah:

Oh well. At least I knew they MADE a 383.

(Mostly because so many people ask me why I put a Mopar engine in my Blazer when I tell them it's a 383....):haha:

Huh? Different crank and cam so a different firing order?

7/4 swap means that the cam is ground for:

18736542
instead of:
18436572

I think it's supposed to help with scavenging gases and harmonics.

All you have to do with that cam is then swap the 7 and 4 wires on your dizzy.

Could cause a lot of headaches if you didn't know someone had done that!

So weird cam, but same crank, huh? Wow, yeah I can see where that would drive you nuts =))
