Went pretty good. Did 2 fuel pump, one on a cobalt and the other on a montecarlo. Did a oil change, diagnosed a computer and upgraded it. I worked side by side with a guy thats been working there for 30 years. There was this sweet 80 k10 step side. The truck was completely rebuilt from top to bottom was amazing.

Oh and mac tools own.

Congratulations and good luck man. working for your money is a rewarding thing.

cool to see another GM tech here. i am in the GM ASEP program and have a year left. i love my job but man is it exausting. at our shop everyone specializes in a certain feild and i work with the front end man. i like front end work. do yall specialize or does everone just do everything?

*edit* i have all matco tools except i have craftsmen wrecnchs and i love my tools as much as my blazer. ive purchased various tools over the past while and i need a much bigger box now! on and Ingersol Rands 3/8 titanium and carbon impact kick arse. its light and has some cohones.

I'm starting the asep program. Today was pretty good. Man I love the sound of a duramax at full load.

i also finished my first year in the asep program and love it. my tech and i do pretty much anything that comes in the shop, except for trim... for some reason my hands and arms are always dirty. when u take the different courses do u move to another tech that specializes in the area that the class ur taking?

Good luck at your new job. Me, I just left the dealership after 11 years and had enough. Too much politics and warranty time/pay keeps getting worse and worse. GM Master Tech now working on Fords :doah:

Just wait till you have to replace the fuel injectors on one of those duramaxs.
I worked at a Chevy dealership for 5 years, My family grew but my paycheck did'nt. Working flat rate is really tough, I wish you the best and good luck. I enjoyed it and learned alot but had to move on.
