first gen axle swap?????

looking at a 69-72 first gen blazer tomorrow. my question is will my dana 60 and 14ff from my 77 fit in the first gen or do i need to modify the spring perches to fit? also what about my lift will it fit?

On the axles... The 60 will be a direct swap. Perch width on my 14FF was 39.5"....I can't remember factory width on the '77.

Spring...Fronts on the '77 are too long. If memory serves, about 3" too long. The rear springs are direct swap at 52".

this one looks like it has a lift already but just figured id ask about mine anyway lol incase it didnt have one already. good to know the 60 will swap in just need to know about the rear now.
 
Depends on if your 77 is a true 1 ton or not. The first gens perch width is the same as the newer 1 tons, whereas if you were taking a stock 14 bolt and putting it in a 77 3/4 ton you'd have to move the perches.

Hope that makes sense, I'm not all the way awake yet...
 
well it wasnt for me it was a 72 and just needed to much for me to restore and sold for more then what i had to spend. will make someone a nice k5 though even had factory ac
