I was told by a firend that there is no such thing as a factory first gen blazer roll bar is that true? is it only aftermarket ones you could get cause i got one in mine.

Not true. They are small like 1 7/8 or smoething like that. They blot too the wheel tub so not too supportive. I owned 3 or 4 Blazers with that same rollbar.

I have a 3 incher in mine. Looks much sweeter.

My understanding is that they were dealer installed, not factory installed.

Yes, there is such a thing as a "Factory" roll bar on 1st Gen's. My 72 was completely original when I bought it from the 1st owner who happens to be my dads best friend. I asked him if the Blazer had the roll bar when he bought it and he said that it was ordered that way. It is not a CST, it's a Custom. Its only options were factory A/C and the roll bar. Both were special ordered and installed at the factory.
